Worship Team
Luke 7:37,38 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.
At Orange County Christian Fellowship, we believe that the worship of God is spiritual, inspirational, intelligent and fruitful. Because of this, we believe that worship is so much more than just singing or playing songs in the context of a corporate worship service. Worship is what we consider to be the appropriate response to the overwhelming feeling of the weight of our sin being lifted; to turn and kiss (proskuneo in the Greek New Testament) God, and because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice upon the cross, we can approach the throne of God and worship Him.
Our worship team is made up of people whose attitude is an attitude of worship and, in turn, desire to show the congregation the glory of God’s throne room. We have several members with different personalities, ability levels and musical backgrounds, but who all want to worship and praise our God. The members of our worship team serve throughout the different ministries of the church from the Nursery, to the Children’s Ministry, to the Sanctuary for our corporate worship services. Ultimately, we would like to see this attitude of worship reach beyond the walls of Orange County Christian Fellowship into the homes of all our members, families and the communities in which we live.
